Eastern Cantaloupe Relish Recipe

  • 2 cups EasternCantaloupe diced into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 green bell pepper diced into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 small red onion diced into bite size pieces
  • 1/4 cup minced cilantro
  • 1/2 de-seeded jalapeƱo diced into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar


  • Begin by preparing all of your ingredients. Dice all of the fruit/veggies into small bite size pieces - make sure they are all about the same size.
  • Add the ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning. If you like your relish a little sweeter, add more sugar. Saltier? Add more salt! Tangier? Add a squeeze more lemon. Let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes. This will help the flavors meld together!
  • Eat this relish on top of tacos, grilled chicken, with tortilla chips, or just by the spoonful!
